NI Protocol: Both sides showing flexibility needed for a deal

Responding to reports that the UK and EU have reached an agreement on the impasse on the Northern Ireland Protocol, Hilary Benn MP, Co-convenor of the UK Trade and Business Commission, said:

“While an agreement has yet to be confirmed, these reports suggest that both the EU and the UK are showing the flexibility needed in the interests of getting a deal.

"Resolving the stand off over the Protocol is desperately needed because it has caused critical uncertainty for people, businesses and politics in Northern Ireland and has damaged trust between the UK and the EU.”
