NI Protocol ruling: All sides must now show flexibility

Responding to the ruling made by the Supreme Court today that the Northern Ireland Protocol is lawful, Hilary Benn MP, co-convenor of the UK Trade and Business Commission, said: 

"While we know that the Protocol is not working for everyone in Northern Ireland, this ruling makes it clear that it was lawfully made. 

"In the interest of providing certainty and stability for businesses and people in Northern Ireland, all sides must show flexibility and good faith in these negotiations and resolve the challenges created by Brexit."
